Medley of Materials
In an era of themes and styles –Eclectic style is all about harmony and the coming together of disparate styles, varied textures, and contrasting colors to create a cohesive, beautifully realized space. Just like this 4500 sq ft five-bedroom bungalow, where the client wanted to have variations is each room with a sheer experience of luxury. Tailoring the requirements of the client, we tried amalgamating luxurious , materials and designing each room which reflected the user. Starting from the floorings, textures, art pieces and fabrics every space had its own experience.
The house facilitates an effortless indoor -outdoor connections having a lush courtyard with exposed brick wall also acting as a center of attraction from the dining space. Living room has been designed with a very calm combination of pastel colors in sofa and drapes with a minimal use of brass accompanied with corner wooden ceiling, minimal art pieces and floor lamp. Whereas the drawing room is a blend of contrasting colors in sofa and walls with a tint of brass to merge them. Bronze mirror paneling with clear glass and fluted glass partition connects the living, drawing to the dining , kitchen area adding openness to the space. The lower floor room for visitor goes about as an ideal contemporary mix with shades of blue and carrying the brass textured panel with elliptical wooden blocks.
The master bedroom witnesses a sense of calmness with the use of neutral colors in the fabrics of bed back, bed bench and lounge. To highlight the space and yet not to loose the essence of the room, we decided to highlight a wall complementing our uniform material brass. The same highlighter builds a connectivity between the washrooms and walk in closet . Taking in note the elder of the house , the bedroom has a fabric bed ,with a soothing wallpaper and on it the wooden strips crafted provides a feel of coziness .The intention behind using the bottle green as the prime color was to capture the bedroom’s interaction with the outdoor greenery . Teens where inclined towards the shades of pink thus the space having family of pink color with a mix of brass and wood was designed accompanied by a playful art . Not forgetting the Hollywood glam mirror which acts like a cherry on the top .
One of the most used space was the home theater on the top most floor as briefed by the client . Responding to that ,the slatted timber ceiling with a blend of an acoustic bronze mirror paneling, pop color for sittings and rustic chandelier where crafted to enhance the space reflecting the blend of contemporary luxury and the overall theme.
